How did the name Glog.AI come about?

Glog.AI is the name of the project in which we set the goal of making the software as secure as possible.

Glog is Serbian language name for hawthorn. It is a plant whose flowers and fruits (Serbian: gloginje) help with many diseases, and at the same time strengthen immunity. With the name, we wanted to emphasize that we make the software (and applications) more secure and, to some extent, immunize it against hacker attacks. Additionally, hawthorn has thorns and successfully “defends” itself against those who try to threaten it. Anyone who has experienced a hawthorn sting knows how painful it can be. Thus, Glog.AI protects and defends software against attackers. Some have associations with a hawthorn stake for appeasing vampires and the like.

In addition, Glog is a short and easy to remember and pronounce, and it intrigues people who do not speak Serbian, so they like to hear the story of the name.

Kako je nastalo ime Glog.AI?

Glog.AI je ime projekta u kome smo postavili cilj da softver bude što sigurniji.

Glog je biljka čiji cvet i plodovi (gloginje) pomažu kod mnogih bolesti, a pri tom čine organizam i otpornijim (pojačavaju imunitet). Imenom smo hteli da naglasimo da softver (i aplikacije) činimo otpornijim odnosno, u nekoj meri, imunizujemo na hakerske napade. Dodatno, glog ima bodlje i uspešno se “brani” od onih koji pokušavaju da ga ugroze. Ko je doživeo ubod glogovog trna, zna kako to može da bude bolno. Dakle, Glog.AI štiti i brani softver od napadača. Neki imaju asocijacije na glogov kolac za upokojenje vampira i slično.

Dodatno, Glog je kratko ime i lako za pamćenje i izgovor, a intrigira ljude koji ne govore srpski, pa vole da čuju i priču o imenu.
